Really beautiful this land of ours. I don't only have friends of different races but relatives of different races. You see over the years we married into each others races and cultures. No problem. In celebrations of birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, promotions, house-warming and yes, 7-day prayers, 100-day prayers, prayers for practically everything, we celebrate. We really find every excuse to celebrate and when the gathering is formed, we see ALL races there, even the foreigners there. They too love to party with us.
But its sick....sick to know that some will go to the extreme to have control, to be in control, to stay in power, to be in power. And they are destroying our harmony. Whats even more sickening is these folks tells us that they do it for us, for our race, for our country.
WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH.
There are lots of things that are definitely not right going on. A lot of 'shit' has been unearth. A lot of questions being asked. We must put things right again. We must create again the care-free environment we experienced when we were kids...when a kid is just a kid and not a kid of some race. When my neighbour was a friend and not of a particular religion. And Syana..half an Utopia? we had that just under half a century ago. But today if we speak out against our conscience, we are thrown the book. Its not safe anymore to speak...the truth. Some are languishing in jail and some are going to jail. Yet the ones that really belong in jail are the ones the are directly or indirectly condemning these 'voice of conscience' to jail.
We must applaud these braves who speak out the truth..not just speak out. It must be truth they speak. Abe Lincoln once said, 'To sin by silence when we should protest makes us cowards'.
We must speak out the truth or there will come a day when there will be no one to speak out for us.
