Farewell Dearest Friend
Today we bade farewell to a dear and beautiful friend Puspavathi, fondly known to all who knew her as Puspa.
Puspa was brutally taken away from her two lovely daughters, loved ones, and friends on that fatal night of 5th June 2008. The circumstances that surrounds the reason of her sudden demise will always be a mystery to us. However mysterious it may be, only Puspa, and the person or persons responsible will be the only ones who will know the truth. For Puspa, that knowledge will be taken to the grave with her. For the person/s responsible, no matter what they say, it will always be questionable.
What happened? Why this manner of death. We frequently, especially of late, read in newspapers, over TV and radio of the brutal slayings of children, couples, adults. We seldom believe that such gruesome acts of barbarism will ever happen to our family, relatives or dear friends. So when the inevitable happens, we cringe, we clench our fists in anger and we bury our face in the palms of our hands and ask...WHY?
What ever Puspa was enduring, she did not deserve to go in such a despicable manner. No MAN has the Divine right to settle score by taking away something he did not give, and that is the beauty of life where only the origin is from GOD and for HIM only to take away.
Farewell our dearest friend Puspa......and may you rest in peace in the arms of The Almighty.
With that I leave this quote and pray it will someday come true...
"........ a farewell is necessary before we meet again and meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends" - Richard Bach
Puspa lived courageously for her daughters, for her mother and for her family. Shakespeare was right when he said, 'Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once'.
I have bade goodbye to Puspa on many many occasions, but today's goodbye was the most painful because there will never be a hello again after this.
So Puspa, our dear flower, we will meet again.
